Update on Giveaway...Sorry It's SO Late!

I wrote this a week or so ago and still wanted to post it. I have not had access to a computer at all lately and hate that I have not been able to update you all regarding the giveaway and I know this update is terribly late, but here all the same. I have filmed the prize video and just have to get some time on a computer to edit and upload. I will post that for you guys with the date that I will do the drawing. Continue to comment on any post that I put up because EVERY comment counts as an entry up until the drawing. I know this is all screwed up, but I promised to go on with this giveaway even though I have no way to post very often. I hope you all understand what is going on and I truly am very sorry for all the trouble! Anyway…here is the update post that I wrote a couple of weeks ago for you guys….

I hate being so out of touch with you guys! I feel like I have been away from you all for a year or something! Being without a computer is starting to take its toll on me…yes, my name is Laura, and I am an internet and computer addict. I am NOT afraid to admit it because it just drives me crazy insane that I finally discover a creative outlet that I love and cannot work on anything at the moment. I always have to pray for a moment here or there at work to even update here at my blog. So, here is a couple of updates for you.

I have been writing blogs but have not been able to upload lately. These include some NOTD, EOTD, written reviews, etc. As soon as I get some time to get together photos and whatnot, I will post them for your reading pleasure.

The big news/update I need to put out there for you guys is regarding the quarterly giveaway that is set to end March 31st. Because some things have come up, I have not yet purchased the prize I want to get. I would like to extend this quarter’s giveaway on for a bit longer until I get the exact prizes I want to share with a lucky reader! I feel if I am going to give something away, it better be good! LOL! Once I have the prizes purchased, I will make a video that states the last day that comments will be eligible as entries. So, if you are not already subscribed to my YouTube channel, make sure to do so, so the comments you make will give you entries in the giveaway!

I hate to put you all off like this, but I have no choice. I have been working to put back as much money as possible every week to save for my laptop and I now treat that savings as a bill, so it comes before “fun” money. Also, I wanted this prize to be a bit bigger since I may not be holding a giveaway next quarter. I don’t know how soon I will have a computer, which makes it so difficult to communicate with you guys and respond to your comments in a timely fashion. I will let you all know if there will in fact be a giveaway next quarter, in the prize video I post (hopefully this weekend/beginning of next week).

I have a long list of “to do’s” for my YouTube channel and here for my blog. I have had multiple requests that I will address first. I just hope you all understand what is keeping me away. I am really starting to go into withdrawals! Things were going so well and leading into what I hope is going to be a long and prosperous tenure on Blogger and YouTube. I just hope these technical difficulties don’t hinder that from happening!

An Apology...

To all my beautiful followers (old and new)...for me not being around this past 5 days or so.  I have been terribly ill and just now, today, opened my email and blog for the first time since Saturday morning.  I had over 100 unread emails and know that there has been no love show to my poor, pittiful blog or YouTube channel either.  I am starting to get my strength back today and back at work.  Hopefully, I will be back to normal asap so I can get things back on track in all my internet outlets.

So, stay tuned for answers to your comments, quesitons, requests and so on.  I have to get one final prize for the giveaway for the end of March and I will be posting that prize video for your viewing pleasure.  I also have a requested video I am going to try and do tonight, since I have been asked multiple times to do it...my most favorite pairs of shoes.  :)  Keep an eye out for all that to come on my YouTube channel as well as some new things here.

I Just Can't Live Without It...Seriously

At the beginning of December, I got extremely stressed out what with all the festivities and all the things that had to be done for Christmas.  I don't see how some people can be totally carefree at holiday time!  Stress generally shows on me in more ways than one...acne being the MAJOR sign.  This is what happened in December. 

In our mall, they set up an automated kiosk.  I saw it when I was out shopping a few weeks prior to my skin "come-apart".  I was SO sick of my skin looking horrible, which in turn ALWAYS makes your makeup look horrible, that I took the last $40 I had in my pocket that week and hit that little kiosk in the mall.  I just got the basic, 30-day kit which set me back $30.  (Hey, at least I still had some money for gas!  LOL!)  It was a small price to pay compared to the multiple drugstore products I had been trying at $6-$10 each bottle! 

As you probably guessed, by the post title, it worked like a charm with a few tiny exceptions.  I really wish I would have taken before and after pics!  My skin was by no means perfect, but it looked a hell of a lot better than it had, which was great!  Just in time for Christmas time filming and photos!  For the entire month of December, my skin was not a worry for me.  My makeup was always flawless looking, no dryness or chapping to worry with even with the cold temps, and most of all, my confidence level was through the roof!

Now, all that has gone downhill.  After the financial hit my bank account took from Christmas, I have not had the money to just order the Proactiv Kit Online and set up auto-delivery for it.  So, I have been without my top beauty product for about 10 days now and it REALLY shows.  The first day after using one of the products I had shoved asside to make room for Proactiv, I noticed a DISTINCT difference!  Today is worst than all the previous days combined.  One entire side of my face is completely broken out from nose to ear, eye to chin.  The product that I started using when the Proactiv ran out was one, that I forgot, dried out my skin, which was why I had originally discontinued its use!  You guessed right again, my ENTIRE face is dry as a bone no matter how much or how great of a moisturizer I use!  Which, right again, makes my makeup cake up and flake off.  I honestly can't believe how bad this is now!  It all causes me to have a hard time looking people in the eye at work and with such a face to face job, I can't escape face time with people!  I am 28 years old and I have worse acne now than I did when I was a teen! 

At first, my mother said it was because I was wearing makeup again, but after hearing the steps I take to remove and the fact that I let my face rest on the weekends she changed her tune.  We are in agreement that it is in fact stress related, well, and the fact that I DON'T drink enough water!  (Terrible, I know!)  The fact that my skin IS so bad, stresses me out even more and kicks my confidence in the gut! 

So, tomorrow, I am biting the bullet and ordering the Proactiv Plus Deluxe System and putting it on auto-delivery so I don't have to deal with this anymore!  I used Proactiv in college and had great results the more and more I used it.  Then, I wasn't methodical about when and how often I used it either.  I just used it here and there and still got killer results.  I just know when I am using it month after month, I will be able to get my skin back in great shape and just have to worry about what the hell I am going to do about these wrinkles!  To me, that is a welcomed issue to deal with!

This time, no matter how embarrassed I am, I am going to take before and after photos.  Some with makeup and some without, so you can see just what I have been talking about.  I will also do a monthly review on my results including photos.  I will work to do these reviews/updates on the same day every month to acurately track progress.  I would have to say that I reccommend this product for anyone that has been battling acne like I have my entire life.  Even if it is something new for you.  Proactiv is not a fad, it really does work for most people that use it.  They do have different sized kits and some that cost less.  I figure I am doing this as something great for myself and my confidence so I am going to splurge and work the $30-$35 in per month and not complain!  Next pay check, I will be getting the Proactiv Makeup Set that includes the foundation, loose powder, and concealer!

Welcome to the New Year!

I am pumped 2010 has now begun!  The holidays are over and I can get things back to normal!  I am looking forward to presenting a great deal of new things for you guys here and on my YouTube channel.  As you all know, yesterday was the end of the first quarterly giveaway on my blog, so I wanted to give you guys a bit of info regarding that to get us started this new year!

Tomorrow, I am going to begin working on numbering all the comments that were posted, starting with the first post I made that was eligible for comment entries.  I will compile this list and then utilize random.org to produce a random winner!  Once I have the winner, I will post here and upload a winner video to YouTube.  Additional information will be included in those posts for the winner.  Please remember, if you don't win this go around, keep trying!  There will be one of these giveaways every quarter!  I would love to do a monthly giveaway, but if I did that, the prizes would be smaller.  I would rather be able to give a bigger, better prize 4 times a year, rather than just a little prize once a month.  Since I am the sole sponsor and contributor to these giveaways, I unfortunatly can't drop tons of cash on all the millions of prizes I WISH I could give!  Plus, this will give room to have some YouTube video contests as well!

Something New For the New Year?

I was about to get in the shower, when I realized that because I haven't worn makeup in a week and haven't even touched my makeup, I have not tried the idea I had for makeup tonight!  Now...issue...do I go bold and try the look that is oh so perfect in my head, or do I play it safe so I actually make it out of the house BEFORE midnight??  LOL!  I just can't figure it out!

Miss You Guys!!!

Needless to say, Christmas has come and gone.  It was, well, interesting to say the least.  There were super great points and super NOT great points.  We had fun, but I am glad it is over.  I was just exhausted!  But, last week was NO match for this week!

I was supposed to be off all week this week.  I had planned to film and post on YouTube and here, sell some stuff on eBay and really get caught up and get the first of the year started with a bang on all my networking sites for you guys!  My, how that SO did NOT happen!

Last week, on Monday, I was asked to work Wednesday in shipping (today).  I agreed.  Besides, just one day and I really don't mind shipping.  It def isn't my desk job, but it can be fun with the people that work out there.  We had a great deal of orders drop and had to get it all out before the end of the month to be able to reach our quota for the month AND year.  THIS was the important part!

I agree to the Wednesday, then Tuesday was added and Monday added at 530pm on December 23rd!  Well, these days were meant specifically for assembling.......I HATE ASSEMBLY!!!  I don't have the patience for it...and it showed.  The only thing that saved me there was the fact that I didn't have to wear makeup and the women that were there working with me are a freakin riot!  Don't you just love it when you work with killer people that you know you can count on, no matter what, to keep you in a stellar mood!?  It is wonderful. 

Well, I may have made it through, but I am def feeling the effects of bustin it all week!  So, this is where I have been.  I feel just awful for it too!  Now, my mother informs me that we have all these people, COMING TO STAY, tomorrow night for the new year and no one is allowed on cells or computers.  Well, yeah, that's just not going to happen...am I 7 or 27?? 

Really, I am trying to work up some plans but, where I live, the only places to go are always so packed you can't move and that is just miserable to me!  I would rather sit, safely, at home with my champagne and ring in the new year! 

So, since I live in the most NOT cool NYE town in the world, I would LOVE to hear what you guys are doing so I can live vicariously through you!  LOL!  Let me know what super killer events happen where you are OR where you are going to catch some fun!  I SO wish I could go to the Widespread Panic show, Phish show, OR the Lady Gaga show!  Now, ANY one of those evenings would be one to remember!  LOL!

Additional Info On Comment Contest for Fall 2009

I wanted to thank everyone that has participated in this quarters comment contest so far! I love hearing what you guys think about the topics I bring up. I think my favorite part has been interacting with my blog followers! I really didn’t think I would acquire any more followers, I just wanted to at least hear from the ones I have had from the beginning!!

Because I want as many people as possible to have an opportunity to win, I am going to be running the contest through December. I will post the “drawing” in a video here and on YouTube, at the beginning of January. I am keeping a list of everyone that comments and how many times they comment in an excel spreadsheet. Once I close the contest, I will make a list and enter it into a randomizer program I have put on my computer. I will film the randomizer choosing the name(s) of the winners and post for everyone to watch and learn the winner(s) with me! Kinda like the lotto drawings! LOL! I think that will be tons of fun for everyone that has participated!

Planning a Giveaway!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA, again, for a while! Things have got crazy at work and I am working 2 jobs. Man, I really wish I could clone myself! It would make keeping up with everything a lot easier! LOL...

Anyway! I have a few things planned here for my blog and on my YouTube channel. I am going to get a contest together for after halloween. I was going to have one before halloween, but there are TONS of people holding contests right now, so I don't want you guys to be overly busy with all the contests you would like to enter!
