Going Gaga For MAC Viva Glam

Oh me oh my...I am in LOVE!!  I enjoy Viva Glam as much as the next guy, but the new Gaga & Cyndi shades in the new Viva Glam release are just TO DIE FOR!  They look like colors just about any of us could wear easily day or night.

Viva Glam Cyndi is a light reddish coral lustre shade that is named after the notorious Cyndi Lauper.  If you don't know who Cyndi is, it means you are a hell of a lot younger than I am!  She was one of my 80's idols with her big hair and out there style!  I have seen many girls and women lately working to bring that style back.  However much I LOVED the 80's...lets leave that style in that decade, PLEASE!  I am excited about this lipstick shade simply because I am loving the coral and peach colors for the upcoming spring.  Sure this one is more on the red side, but I feel the coral hue just as much in the color.  Make sure to hit up your local MAC Counter tomorrow for it's official release or you can, of course, shop the MAC website now and place your order!

Now, my new Cyndi Lauper-esque idol is LADY GAGA!  How stoked I was to hear that SHE was going to be the other spokesperson for the new Viva Glam Collection this month!  Now that I have seen the ad campaign and her gorgeous shade, Viva Glam Gaga, I am even more pumped to get to my counter and purchase TWO of these lovelies...or THREE! 

The Gaga Shade is a BEAUTIFUL, lustre shade.  It is a cool blue pink, according to the MAC website.  This is the perfect pink/nude shade that would pair well with an over the top smokey eye, like Gaga herself is wearing in the ad campaign, or a sweet neutral eye for a daytime look.  This is a lipstick that I would HAVE to buy two of so one could stay in my purse and one at my vanity!  Hey, I may even have to get one for a giveaway prize as well!  We will see!

Let's talk about packaging.  I have always liked the MAC lipstick packaging.  The bullet shaped, black/silver tube is extremely attractive to me.  (ALL of the MAC packaging is attractive to me, tho!  LOL!)  So, you guessed it, the VIVA Glam packaging HAS to be my favorite!  In the place of the silver on the permanant lipsticks, they use a deep red color.  These tubes even have the signature of each spokeswoman on the inner portion of the tube.  The only thing that would have made it better would have been them putting the signature of Cyndi Lauper & Lady Gaga on the outside in red.  Now THAT would have been fantastic!  But, this packaging still works for me!

Oh and for any of you guys that don't know about the MAC Viva Glam products, every last penny of your purchase goes towards the MAC AIDS Fund to help support the fight against AIDS.  I don't know about you, but I am MORE than happy to purchase these lipsticks and would probably pay WAY more than $14 each for them!

YT Tag: A Few of My Most Worn

Being so busy at work has kept me from concentrating as much as I would like to on YouTube and my blog.  However, I found this video on my computer and honestly couldn't figure out why I hadn't posted it yet!  I thought this would be perfect to post to let everyone know I haven't skipped out on YouTube and I am still here working on things as much as I possibly can.  Things WILL start getting better soon, because my hours have been cut at work.

I saw Allthatglitters21 do this tag and I absolutely loved it!  This is one in which you share your most worn products/items.  The categories are lipstick/lipgloss, jewelry, shirt, nail polish, shoes, hair product, fragrance, & handbag.  You know that there is, in each of these categories, ONE thing you constantly wear...at LEAST once a week!  Some of these things, I wear more than that.

A Dazzling Holiday Look Courtesy of Sephora...

Here are the holidays ladies and gents!  You know, it seems the older I get, the quicker they come!  When I was a kid, it seemed like it would take a lifetime before Christmas or my birthday would roll around.  Now, when I wish it would take forever, it doesn't!  I mean, where did this year go?  Does anyone else feel that way...or is it just me!?  Well, can't stop it now, so I will just get to the point of this post!  :)

I have told you all about my loss of inspiration and I am sure you are all tired to death of hearing about it.  Well, I have been sitting down every night and playing with color, of all things!  LOL!  I have even changed up my neutral day time looks to be a little more fun and exciting!  Yes, you can make browns look amazingly interesting with a little extra effort!  LOL!

Since this tragic time fell upon me, I have scoured the net daily searching and saving pics that I love and that seem, at the time, to inspire me.  Bad thing about it, I am always somewhere that I can't just break out the brushes and get to work!  Anyway...I went to Sephora online today since I got a Beauty Insider coupon and started looking around their site at products and pics.  I ended up in their "Get the Look" section and the holiday looks they have are simply amazing!  I know these were all in the Holiday 09 book, but mine never showed up, so this will just have to do!

Our of all those looks, this one has to have been my fav!  I LOVE the glitter and glimmer, especially on the lips!  I don't know what it is about glittery looks, but I just love them!  I especially love this one because it is a combination of pinks and purples.  I think this has to be one of the most inspiring photos I have seen in a while along the lines of holiday looks!  I am going home tonight and trying it on for size!  I will film and hopefully, all turns out well and you will see it on my YouTube channel!

I did get a look filmed this weekend between my cleaning frenzy trying to get the smoke smell out of the house from the small kitchen fire I frig set last week!  Sorry, guys, but that was top priority!  I know I have been severely MIA and I am GOING to make it all up to you soon!  If I could get back in the grove of doing new and different looks everyday, I could at least post pics here...but, yeah, we all see how quickly THAT is going to happen!  LOL!

Update on Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear

So I have been wearing this nail polish for 3 days now. We are at the halfway point of my work day and I have 3 nails that are slightly chipped at the ends. It doesn't look terrible or anything but because I am so OCD about painted nails, all I want to do is go home and take it off now! The color still looks good and I truly feel that if I hadn't been typing, packing and shipping all morning, I may not have been faced with this issue.

STILL...for $2, this is a good nail polish and on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 7. (Most of the points for the pretty color and the fact that it only required 2 coats for the nice coverage. I am going to try it with a different top coat and base coat. Maybe there will be a difference then! Let me know your thoughts!!

NOTD: Nail of the Day - Sally Hansen - Twisted Pink

So I have found my new fav pink polish! I picked this up at WalMart the other night when I was shopping for my daugher's birthday party stuff. I bought it sort of on a whim. I have been looking for a particular polish for weeks now, so I look at polish everywhere I go...generally ending up with one or two, not the one I was looking for! LOL! This one immediately caught my eye, which was suprising since it was on the bottom shelf!

I got it for only $2!!! That was the best part! I figured I would get it home and hate the color or it would take 52 coats to get it even or something. Boy was I wrong! Now, it did take 2 good, heavy coats to look like this, but the color was extremely true to the bottle! This photo really doesn't do the color justice! There is a small amount of reflects in it so, it catches the light and makes it shine. I catch myself, especially in the sunlight, looking at it and saying telling myself how pretty of a color it is!

I have only had it on for two days and I used a pretty heavy duty top coat, so I don't know about the chip factor as of yet. I will be back at work tomorrow, so that will be the true test since I have a lot of things to ship out of the warehouse! If I have any extreme issues, I will for sure let you know!
